　　Hello everyone. Did you enjoy the cherry blossoms this month? There are many cherry trees at the park near my house, and my family and I enjoyed having a picnic there. In Louisiana, it is too hot for cherry trees. So, I like springtime in Japan very much.
　　Today I want to tell you about some of the delicious food in Louisiana. When I was a student in high school and college, I worked at a restaurant. At first I washed the dishes, but later I cooked the food. I learned many things about cooking Louisiana’s interesting food, and now I will introduce some of it to you.
　　In Louisiana, we have many rivers and lakes. Many kinds of fish live there. One fish is the catfish. Do you know this fish? It is called “namazu” in Japanese. In Japan we don’t eat catfish, but in Louisiana fried catfish sandwiches are very popular. The sandwiches are made of lettuce, mayonnaise, tomatoes, and catfish, and they are very good. When I go home to see my parents, I always have a catfish sandwich.
　　Another animal in Louisiana’s rivers and lakes is the alligator. Have you ever seen an alligator? It has short legs, a long tail, and very sharp teeth. In Louisiana we often eat alligator. Are you surprised? We eat it with a spicy sauce, and it tastes like fried chicken. I like it very much.
