7　 English Camp 　　　　　　　　　ネイティブスピーカー（ALT）によるＲＥＡＤＩＮＧ　　　　　

　　Do you enjoy speaking English? Do you like making new friends and playing fun games? If you do, then why don’t you join me and my ALT friends at English Camp?
　　This year, English Camp will be held August 9-11 at Nature House, in Tainai City. Have you ever been to Tainai? It’s about an hour north of Niigata City. Nature House is in the woods near the sea. There are many things to do outdoors. We can enjoy walking in the woods. We can play sports and games on the large playground. There is also a gym for indoor games and activities.
　　Sixty junior high school students from Niigata City can join English Camp. Many ALTs and Japanese English teachers will go, too. For three days and two nights we’ll enjoy fun games and activities. For example, there will be a water balloon relay, a mystery game, canoeing, a campfire, and so on. Many students have never canoed, so canoeing is the most fun for them. Everyone makes new friends from other junior high schools. Their friendships and memories last a long time.
　　Last year’s camp was very popular. If you are in the eighth or ninth grade and are interested, please ask your English teacher. But hurry, because the deadline for signing up is soon. It’s this coming Friday, June 9th! I hope to see you this summer.
